CHIEF CYCLOTRON ENGINEER

Location:

Bronx, New York

Duties:

Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers, chemists, and technicians involved in the cyclotron production and purification of positron emitting radionuclides.
Design of new cyclotron targets to optimize production yields of radionuclides.
Work with radiochemists/radiopharmacists to create solutions to technical and engineering problems with automated synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals.
Develop procedures and protocols to perform service and maintenance of cyclotrons and automated chemistry synthesis modules.
Generate reports on compliance with all regulatory standards including EH&S, cGMP, Radiation safety, applicable pharmacy laws, DOT and internal policies and interpretations.
Plan and direct all aspects of engineering activities within the organization.
Participate in personnel training and staff development.
Facilitate achievement of performance goals cross-functionally with production and sales to implement strategic initiatives for product development and market research.
Manage a team of 2 engineers, 2 chemists & 2 technicians.
Requirements

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
Certification in PeTtrace service training.

EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) years experience in the position offered or as a Cyclotron Engineer.

HOURS:

9:00AM – 5:00 PM
